VIP guests can enjoy a Mississippi River boat tour with Captain Robert Vavra on Maiden Voyage Tours! The tour includes a charcuterie lunch and live music by Dylan Harris. Non-alcoholic drinks will be provided but you are also welcome to BYOB. Ticket includes regular festival admission, bbq, snacks, and a commemorative glass (while supplies last). Enjoy bbq, food vendors, live music, and unlimited sampling from Iowa wineries and breweries. The tour departs at 2 pm with or without you from the same marina as the festival. You will get off the boat and be a few steps away from the festival.

The Great River Road - Road Race

The Great River Road-Road Race is a 5K and 10K race that begins and ends in scenic Pikes Peak State Park.
Runners receive a T-shirt, Division awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and a complimentary untraditional pancake breakfast featuring chicken gravy.

Sponsoring an event is a great way to demonstrate community involvement, build partnerships, and enhance customer engagement and loyalty.
The McGregor/Marquette Chamber of Commerce is gearing up once again to host the Great River Road Race (GRRRR). We’re working to make this one of the best races in the area; here’s how:
The race returns to Pikes Peak and the traditional GRRR Route. Runners will follow Pikes Peak Road, then turn south on the Great River Road before returning on the route to the park.
True Time Racing Services will professionally time the 5K and 10K races. A ceremony after the race awards medals to the top Male and Female overall winners. Top winners in male and female age divisions from preteen to 80 and over also receive awards. After the race, runners are invited to a complimentary pancake breakfast in the park shelter. Participants and observers will be encouraged to explore the McGregor and Marquette communities after the race.
Proceeds from the GRRRR provide funding to create a thriving business community in our area. Please consider sponsoring the 2024 running of the GRRRR. Pick the sponsorship level that is right for you, and we’ll work hard to provide value to your business or organization through your sponsorship. Each sponsorship level provides unique opportunities.
