Leslie Spaulding. Inaugural Crawl
McGregor is kicking off 2026 the only way it knows how: with friends, fun, and a lively downtown celebration! On Saturday, January 10, 2026, beginning at 1:00 p.m., everyone is invited to join the town’s first-ever Inaugural Crawl—a winter-warming afternoon filled with good drinks, great stops, and even better company.
This isn’t a race or a formal affair. (No ball gown necessary.) Downtown businesses will be rolling out themed food and drink specials, crawl-day exclusives, and playful in-store surprises, all designed to keep the vibe festive, fun, and unmistakably McGregor.
Adding an extra layer of fun, newly elected Mayor Kruse and the First Gentleman will be out and about all afternoon—popping into businesses, sharing a toast, and celebrating right alongside neighbors. The crawl officially kicks off at Pocket City Pub at 1:00 p.m. with an opening pour, then continues with surprise stops throughout the downtown district. Details coming - including Backwoods, The SpecialTea Shoppe, Jade’s River Queen, The Brim, Steve’s Silver Dollar, Old Man River and other merchants. Mayor Kruse’s whereabouts will be shared throughout the day on the Facebook event page—because half the fun is spotting her.
As the crawl winds down, the celebration continues at Jade’s River Queen, where acoustic singer-songwriter Addison Haas will perform live beginning at 7:00 p.m., offering the perfect way to carry the evening forward with music and good company.
At its heart, the Inaugural Crawl is about shaking off winter, reconnecting with neighbors, and celebrating McGregor’s next chapter together. The event is free, open to all, and full of heart, with more details coming soon on the McGregor Inaugural Crawl Facebook page.
